New Staff

SEASON MCBRIDE

She is new to USD 209.  She will be teaching Special Education.  She graduated from OPSU to receive her Bachelor’s of Art in English.  Her hometown is Guymon, Oklahoma.  When asked what brought you to teaching she says “ As a young student, I was always asked to help my peers.  I loved it.  I love seeing them understand something for the first time.  I knew from a young age that I would be a teacher”.

KATIE SCHMIDT

She is new to USD 209.  She will be our Technology Director.  She graduated from Friends University.  Her home town is Copeland, Kansas.  When asked what brought you to technology she said “I have always loved computers”.  

MONICA TEETER

She has a new role at USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional for our Jr/Sr High School classes.  She attended Garden City Community College.  Her hometown is Ulysses, Kansas.  When asked what brought her to work at USD 209, she said “her love for kids”.  

KRISSANN ROLAND

She has a new role at USD 209.  She will be teaching ELA to 7th, 8th, and 9th Graders and a High School Computers Class.  She is attending Fort Hays University to finalize her teaching degree.  When asked what brought her to teaching she said “Her kids”.  

CORY BIXLER

He is back at USD 209.  He will be teaching Jr/Sr High Science Classes.  He graduated from Kansas State with a Bachelors in Science in Secondary Education.  When asked what brought him to teaching he said, “The opportunity to have an impact on students the way that my teachers and coaches had an impact on my life”.

JACQUELINE LIMON

Mrs. Limon

She has a new role at USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional and teaching High School ART.  She went to Seward Community College for Associates in ART and is working on her Bachelors in Elementary Education.  Her hometown is Satanta, Kansas.  When asked what brought her to teaching she said “Her Childhood Dream”.

KARI MENDEZ

She is new to USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional for the Special Education Department for the District.  She went to Seward County Community College.  Her hometown is Moscow, Kansas.  When asked what brought her to USD 209 she said, “She loves working with kids”.

JAYLEN SUNDERLAND

She is new to USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional for the Special Education Department for the District.  She is pursuing a degree at Seward County Community College.  Her hometown is Satanta, Kansas.  When asked what brought her to USD 209 she said, “Helping kids learn”.

MELDA DOWNING

She is new to USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional for USD 209.  She is currently attending Fort Hays State University pursuing her degree.  Her hometown is Elmwood, OK. When asked what brought her to Moscow, she said, “The desire to be closer to her husband’s family”.

APRYL TOLSON

She is new to USD 209.  She will be a paraprofessional for the Special Education Department for the District.  She went to Grand Canyon University.  Her hometown is Baltimore, Maryland.  When asked what brought her to USD 209 she said, “ I love teaching students and helping them with their needs”.

SHELLY STUCKEY

She is taking a new role at USD 209.  She is a janitor for the Jr/Sr High School and cooks in our Cafeteria.  Her hometown is Moscow, Kansas.  When asked why I work at USD 209, because “IT’S HOME”.

SHARLENE MAY

She is new to USD 209.  She will be teaching 2nd Grade this year.  She graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.    Her hometown is Moscow, Kansas.  When asked what brought you to teaching she said “A desire to share the love of learning with children and help them see succeed”.
